The Buffalo Teachers Federation has been a cornerstone of educational advocacy since its inception. 1922

Foundation of the Buffalo Teachers Federation

The Buffalo Teachers Federation was established to advocate for teachers’ rights and improve educational standards in Buffalo.

1965

First Major Contract Negotiation

Secured a landmark contract that significantly improved working conditions and salaries for teachers in the district.

1980

Introduction of Professional Development Programs

Launched comprehensive training programs to enhance teachers’ skills and improve student outcomes.

2005

Advocacy for Educational Reform

Played a pivotal role in advocating for reforms that led to increased funding and resources for Buffalo schools.
